About this service
Ainigma is a learning environment for course materials, interactive exercises, and learner-specific lab work, designed especially for the needs in cyber security. The end goal is to replace Moodle completely, as it poorly fits for dynamic exercises and automation, and on the current rapid evolution of computer science.
The rapid development of LLMs is changing how software is developed, how cyber security testing is applied, and what can be proven as a learner’s authentic submission when they want their work graded while learning remotely or using self-study methods.
Currently, this is an experiment; the fallback is probably going back to physical, supervised exams. Ainigma is in a very early stage, so expect bugs and changing features.
Who operates Ainigma
Ainigma is operated by the Oulu University Secure Programming Group (OUSPG) at the University of Oulu.

Course access
Anyone can browse publicly available course material. Signing in and being accepted to a course offering is required for interactive exercises, learning progress, activity history, and other learner-specific features.
To sign in, you must currently pass SSO for the University of Oulu’s GitHub Enterprise after you get invited to the relevant course organisation, as most of the work will be done there, and this also validates your student status tied to used GitHub account.
